Bill traveled east on 104 to get to Dyersburg. Though it was a rural area the dump trucks and other traffic made the stretch somewhat treacherous. This is in the morning, before we arrived at the Dyersburg rodeo grounds. Brenda and I drove on to a gas station, but on the way we crossed a very narrow bridge. The bridge rose up, making it impossible to see what was on the other side. So we returned to Bill to warn and escort him over. The dump trucks where traveling 65+ mph and if two had crossed going opposite directions on the bridge at the same time when he was there, it could have been disastrous.
