Is The Journey Over?

Bill completed his mission today and made it across the county riding on Blackie. We met many good people, and lots of friends. Though this journey is over, we are still on the journey called life. Bill and Brenda intend to take a break, and decide what we will do next.

There is talk of a return trip.

Bill & Brenda Renew their Vows: Part 2

In this second video Dr. Rich Lloyd, Pastor (domain not owned by the same people), performed Bill & Brenda's ceremony. We would like to thank him for taking time out of his day to make this a special occasion for us. Fred Lee, the gentlemen who performed the first ceremony, also came to visit and we thank him for that. Bill & Brenda enjoyed meeting with him again.

The Final Ride of This Journey

Bill plans on making the final ride of this journey on Sunday, the 13th of January. We welcome all capable riders and their horses to participate (you and your horse should be capable of riding in traffic; you are responsible for the behavior of your animal and your safety). This ride will be a celebration of the journey, and has been plan so that it is short and enjoyable for all.

Bill plans on arriving at the Opportunity House around 11am. Those who wish to ride with Bill should meet there. The Opportunity House is located at 1411 Asheville Hwy. Hendersonville, NC. A number of people have already expressed that they plan on riding.

From there, Bill and those that are riding with him, will continue on to Schroaders Honda, which is located at US 64 at I-26, 220 Mitchell Dr., Hendersonville, NC. If you don't have a horse or cannot ride with Bill , you can still meet with us here. Please arrange transportation for your animal from there. Bill estimates that the group will arrive between 1pm and 2pm.  if you want to ride your horse, meet new people , and have some fun - be there.

Bill & Brenda Renew their Vows: Part 1

Our journey brought us to a little town called Newport, Tennessee (thank you Mama [Brendas Mom] for pointing out my mistake, i had the town as Newport, North Carolina). For Bill and Brenda this is a special place as the two were married there in 1980 in Overholts Hardware. While in town they decided to renew their vows, as they have not been on the east coast in quite some time. This is the first part.

Arrival in Asheville

Brenda, Dallas and I are waiting for Bill just in the Asheville city limits. Bill has about 4 miles to go till he meets up with us. Luckily there is an open wireless network in the vicinity.

Tomorrow Bill plans on ridding through Asheville. We have coordinated with the Asheville Police Department and they planned out a safe route for Bill and Blackie. He will be on Riverside Dr. and make his way to Lyman St. He will then follow Lyman to Amboy Rd. From Amboy he'll take State St. to Haywood Rd. and then onto Brevard Rd. We will make a stop in The Biltmore Square Mall parking lot some time between 12:00pm and 2:00pm (this is just an estimate). You can contact us on our cell phone tomorrow if you need find us (the number is on the contact page).
